Sacha Dost

Sacha Dost is located over at 988 Hamilton Road, right near Kashmere Gate. If you know the area, you know it’s always packed with people and vehicles moving around at all hours. Our spot is a bit tucked away, but we’ve been here at this address for quite some time now. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit steep and creaky if you aren't used to them. We mostly spend our time handling whatever comes in. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic outside on Hamilton Road, so we spend a good chunk of the morning just wiping things down. Kashmere Gate has that specific energy where everyone is in a rush, but inside our doors, things move at their own pace. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the emergency lights. We have some chairs for people to sit, though they aren't the most comfortable ones you'll ever find. It’s just how things are here. We don’t do much fancy advertising. Most people find us because they were already in the neighborhood or someone told them where 988 is. Hamilton Road is a busy place to be, but it’s home for us. We just keep the door open and wait to see what the day brings.
