You wouldn't necessarily expect to find a tool manufacturing company office in the middle of Connaught Place, but that is where we are. Kadimi Tool Mfrg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. is based at 7-A, Kashi House. It’s an old building with those thick walls and high ceilings that you only find in the older parts of Delhi. Walking through the corridors of Kashi House feels a bit like stepping back a few decades. The floors are stone and the doors are heavy wood. Out in the circle of CP, everything is loud and crowded with shoppers and tourists, but once you step inside our office, it gets much quieter. We have a lot of old files and some samples of the tools we handle scattered across the shelves. It’s not a modern glass-and-steel office. We use old metal cupboards and the desks are heavy and dark. Most of us have worked here for a long time, and we know the layout of the place by heart. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished presentations. We just deal with our clients and manage the manufacturing side of things from this central spot. It’s a bit of a walk from the metro station, but we like the area. During lunch, we might step out to get some street food or just sit by the window and watch the pigeons on the ledge.
