K. A. Auto Agency

We have two spots, numbers 35 and 41, inside the Gurunanak Charitable Trust Market. It’s located in the Kashmere Gate area, which is pretty much the center of the world for us. Running K. A. Auto Agency from two different units keeps us on our toes. We are constantly walking back and forth between the two spaces. The market is a lively place, run by the trust, and it has a lot of character. You see all sorts of people walking through the aisles looking for parts. It’s a bit of a maze, but once you know your way around, it’s not so bad. We don’t have a lot of room for fancy displays. Every shelf is packed to the ceiling with whatever we can fit. It’s a bit dusty, and the lighting isn't the brightest, but it’s where we’ve been doing business for quite a while. We know the other shop owners around us, and we often help each other out. That’s just how things work here. Kashmere Gate can be overwhelming for someone new, but for us, it’s just home. We don't spend money on big ads or polished brochures. We just talk to the people who come in and try to find what they need. It’s a practical way to run a business, and it’s served us well over the years. We just try to stay organized amidst all the daily chaos.
