Our office is on the third floor of a building at WZ-313 in Srinagar Shakur Basti. It’s in the North West part of Delhi, near the 110034 area. Getting to the third floor is a bit of a workout because we don't always use the elevator if it’s busy or if it’s acting up. The Basti is a crowded place, full of life and a lot of small shops. It can be quite noisy with all the scooters and people walking by at all hours. From up here, we can see the rooftops of the neighborhood. Jpm Tradepolitan Overseas Llp is an overseas trade company, but our daily life is very local. We spend most of our time on the computer or the phone. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of folders stacked on metal shelves. It’s not the most modern setup, but it gets the job done. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat, or we hear the music from a local celebration downstairs. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just come in, do our work, and head home to our families. The heat in Delhi can make the third floor pretty warm in June, but we have a couple of air conditioners that try their best. We aren't a corporate giant. We are just a group of people trying to make sense of the world from Shakur Basti.
