Johnson Paints Co is located on the third floor of Vardman Diamond Plaza. If you can find the police station in Pahar Ganj, we are right across from it in units 308 and 309. Pahar Ganj is a crazy place, always full of tourists and markets and noise, but it’s quieter once you get up to the third floor. We have plenty of paint charts and cans lying around. We’ve been here for years, and the building is starting to show its age a bit, but it works for us. We spend our time mixing colors and talking to painters who need supplies. The elevator can be a bit cranky, so sometimes we just take the stairs. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the office and the storage area. We have a small staff and we all know each other pretty well. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just focus on the paint. People come in with old scraps of color they want to match, and we do our best to get it right. It’s a messy job sometimes, but we like it. We see a lot of life from our windows overlooking the street. It's a very real part of town and we are happy to be a part of it. We keep a stash of brushes and rollers near the door for quick sales. Most of our day is spent checking invoices and making sure the lids are on tight.
