Kirti Nagar is known for being a hub of activity, and our spot at 2/61 in the WHS area is right in the thick of it. The WHS stands for Warehouse Scheme, so you can imagine there are a lot of big trucks and piles of goods everywhere you look. Our place is basically a warehouse with some office space carved out. It is dusty and noisy, but that is just how this part of Delhi operates. We handle a lot of international trade items, so there are always crates coming in or going out. The floor is concrete and the ceilings are high. We have a small crew that manages the loading and the paperwork. It is not the kind of place where you would wear a suit. We are usually in casual clothes, moving around the stacks or sitting at the worn-out desks. The overhead lights are a bit dim, but they get the job done. We drink a lot of tea from the vendor at the corner. Sometimes the internet is slow or the phones will not stop ringing, but we manage. There is a certain rhythm to the chaos of Kirti Nagar that you eventually get used to. We do not try to make the place look like a luxury office because it is a working warehouse. We focus on getting the shipments sorted and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy.
