Jhilmil Hospital

Jhilmil Hospital is a local medical spot in the Shahadara area. We have been here for a good number of years now, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. It is a general hospital, so we see a bit of everything, from fevers and coughs to more serious things that need a few days of staying in a bed. Shahadara is a very crowded part of the city, and our hospital reflects that. It can get pretty loud in the hallways during visiting hours, and sometimes the wait times are longer than we would like. We have a dedicated staff of nurses and doctors who are used to the fast pace of this area. The building itself is pretty basic. We don't have a fancy lobby or expensive decorations. It’s just a place for people to get medical help when they need it. We keep the emergency room open all the time because you never know when something might happen in a busy place like this. Most of our patients are people who live within walking distance or just a short rickshaw ride away. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the work in front of us. It’s a bit of an old-school way of running a hospital, but it works for the people here in Shahadara. We’ve seen many families come through these doors and we just keep doing our daily rounds.
