Rohit Textiles

Rohit Textiles is tucked away at No. 5757 on Street No. 5. It is right in the New Chandrawal area. If you have ever walked through these narrow lanes, you know how busy and packed they get with people and carts. We deal with all kinds of fabrics every single day. The shop is usually filled with rolls of cloth stacked right up to the ceiling. It smells like fresh cotton and fabric dye in here most of the time. Sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze when we are trying to find a specific roll for someone. We have been in this location for a long time. My father used to handle everything, and now I am the one here every day. We do not have a website or anything modern like that. People just know where we are and they come find us when they need something. We spend most of our time measuring out lengths of cloth and cutting them for local tailors or people making clothes at home. The scissors we use are always getting dull from all the cutting we do. There is a lot of dust that comes off the fabric, so we are constantly dusting the counters to keep things clean. It is a small space, so things get a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We have to move everything around just to make a path to walk to the back.
