Tandon Consultants Private Limited is tucked away at No. 17 Link Road in the Jangpura Extension neighborhood. It is a bit of a quieter area compared to the main markets nearby, which is nice for the kind of concentrated thinking we have to do. We mostly deal with structural engineering plans and big consulting projects. If you walked in on a Tuesday, you would see a lot of papers spread out over big tables and people staring at computer screens for hours. We have been at this location for quite some time now. The neighborhood has a mix of residential houses and small offices, so it feels more personal than working in a giant glass skyscraper. Our team is a mix of older experts and some younger people who are still learning the ropes. We do not have a formal receptionist; usually, whoever is sitting closest to the door just looks up and says hi. Sometimes the printers run all day long making copies of huge technical drawings. We drink a lot of chai to keep ourselves going during the long afternoons when the deadlines are close. Link Road is not very wide, so parking can be a bit of a headache for visitors, but we always find a way to make it work. We are not interested in being the biggest firm in the country. We just like solving the puzzles that come with construction. It is honest work.
