Being in Mayapuri Industrial Area means you get used to the dust. It’s Phase-I, and our spot at B-10 is right in the thick of it. Jain Auto Trading Company has been operating out of this unit for years. The building is old, and the paint is peeling a bit, but it does the job. Inside, it’s mostly stacks of boxes and metal components. We trade what people need to keep their vehicles moving. It isn't a glamorous job. You spend a lot of time on the phone or checking inventory lists that never seem to end. The trucks come in and out all afternoon, making the narrow roads even tighter. Sometimes finding a place to park near the shop is a nightmare. I’ve spent many mornings just moving things around to make more room. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the parts we sell are what the customer asked for. It’s a straightforward business. No fancy lobby or receptionists here. Just me and a couple of guys making sure the orders go out on time. The air in Mayapuri always smells like iron and exhaust. You get used to it after a week. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We stay until the sun goes down and start again the next day. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment arrives.
