Our place is at R31 in Pulpehladpur, right on the Badarpur Mehrauli Road. If you’ve ever driven down this road, you know how much dust and noise there is from all the trucks and cars passing by. It’s a very busy stretch of New Delhi. We’re in a spot that’s easy to find but hard to keep clean because of all the traffic outside. We work with automotive components, so the floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil spots. It’s a functional space, nothing pretty to look at. We have a small group of guys who have been working the machines and handling the loading for years. There’s a lot of shouting back and forth over the noise of the road and the equipment, but we understand each other. Most of our day is spent making sure the production stays on track. We don't really have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things about us. It's just us, working in the heat, making sure the orders are ready when the trucks pull up. We drink a lot of tea to keep going, especially during the long afternoon shifts. It’s a tough environment sometimes, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything leaves the building in good shape.
