Jagdambe Motors

Paharganj is always loud, and Tilak Street is no different. We have been at No-943/2 for quite some time now. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy shutters and seeing the early crowds already moving past. Jagdambe Motors isn't a fancy place with air conditioning or leather chairs. It’s just a shop where we keep a lot of stock and try to help people find what they need for their vehicles. The shelves are high and sometimes things get a bit dusty, but we know where everything is kept. If you walk past the tea stall on the corner, you’ll find us. There is usually a bit of grease on the floor and the smell of oil is always there in the air. We don’t really spend much time on decorations. It’s more about getting the job done and making sure the parts are right. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, so we end up shouting a bit to be understood. That is just how life is here in this part of Delhi. We get all sorts of people coming in, from delivery guys to families. It is busy, messy, and loud, but it is home for us. We just keep things moving one day at a time. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. That’s just the way the shop stays running every single day for us.
