We are based over at the Patiala House Courts. If you’ve ever been there, you know how chaotic it can be. There are people everywhere, lawyers in black coats rushing around, and piles of files on every surface. Our office is right in the middle of all that. It is a busy environment and we are usually juggling a lot of different tasks at once. Jagbir Singh Dagar started this and we’ve been helping people navigate the court system for a while. It’s not like what you see on TV. It’s mostly a lot of waiting around, filing papers, and talking to clerks. We spend a lot of time in the corridors and the small rooms where the records are kept. The office itself is cramped because we have so many documents. We try to keep track of everything but it’s a constant battle against the paperwork. We don't have much time for fancy stuff. Most days we are just trying to make sure our clients know where they need to be and when. We drink a lot of tea from the stalls outside to keep us going. It’s a tough place to work because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s also interesting. You see all sorts of people coming through the court gates. We just try to do our bit and get through the day's schedule.
