Jagan Lamps Ltd. is at 14, Shopping Centre, right on the Ring Road. We are very close to the Punjabi Bagh flyover, so if you are driving past, you can’t really miss the general area. Being in a shopping center means there are always people walking around and plenty of other shops nearby. It’s a very noisy spot because of all the traffic coming off the flyover, but we are used to it. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of items and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a few people are inside at once. We have shelves going all the way up to the ceiling. The floor is made of old stone and has some cracks, but it holds up well. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and checking what came in. The back room is where we keep most of the stock and it’s a bit of a maze back there. During the festive seasons, it gets extremely busy and we barely have time to sit down. On slower days, we just sit on the stools near the front and watch the cars go by on the Ring Road. It’s a good location for business, even if the dust from the road gets everywhere. We keep a duster handy and try to wipe things down when we can. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. The lights stay on late here most nights.
