Jadeed

Jadeed is located at 23 Masjid Lane over in Jangpura. It’s a narrow street, so it’s better to walk than to try and drive a big car through there. The area is full of life, with people walking to the masjid and children playing nearby. Our place is quite small, just a single room where we handle everything. We have some shelves along the walls to keep our stock and a small table where we do the packing. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we’ve learned how to organize it. The walls are painted a light color, but they’ve got a few scuffs from moving boxes around. We keep the door open during the day to let some air in. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. It’s a friendly place, and we often chat with the neighbors who are passing by. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; we just use a pen and a notebook to keep track of what we do. It works for us. Jangpura is a good place to be, and Masjid Lane feels like home. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really think about moving. We just take each day as it comes and do the best we can with what we have.
