We are located at number 6117 in Block No. 1, right on Gali No. 7 in Dev Nagar. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful when walking so you don't bump into someone carrying a heavy load. J. M. J. Fashion has been based here for a good while, and the neighborhood is full of similar businesses all working away. Our space is tucked away inside the block, and it’s usually filled with the sound of sewing machines and the chatter of the staff. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights; people usually find us by word of mouth or by looking for the specific house number. The work we do is pretty repetitive, but we try to do it right every time. Fabric rolls are piled up in the corners, and there are thread clippings all over the floor by the time we close up for the night. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity; we’re just a local fashion house trying to make a living in a very busy part of town. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets to be a lot, so we have a few fans going all day. It’s a simple life, focused on the textures of the cloth and the precision of the stitching. We know our neighbors and we’ve seen the street change over the years while we stayed right here.
