J. M. D. Mill Store

If you have ever been to Chawri Bazar, you already know how crowded it gets around the Hauz Qazi Chowk area. Our store is right at number 393. We have been sitting here for years, surrounded by all the other hardware and mill stores in the neighborhood. It is usually noisy and pretty dusty outside, but that is just the way this part of Delhi works. We keep a lot of different parts for mills and other industrial stuff in stock. It is honestly hard to keep everything perfectly organized when the space is so tight, but we usually know exactly which shelf has what part. People come in looking for specific bolts or bearings that they cannot seem to find anywhere else. Sometimes we have to spend a while digging through the back room to find exactly what they need. We do not have a website or any of that modern stuff. Most of our day is spent talking to the regular customers or helping someone who just wandered in from the street. It involves a lot of lifting and moving heavy metal boxes around. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that is usually when we take a short break to sit down. The shop is not much to look at, just old wooden counters and some metal racks. We do not try to be fancy. We just sell what people need to keep their machines running.
