Ircon International Ltd

Ircon International Ltd is located over at 148 Nehru Apartment in Kalkaji, New Delhi. This isn't one of those high-rise glass buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. It’s an older residential style apartment that we’ve used as our base for a while. Being in Kalkaji means we are close to everything, which is helpful. The rooms are filled with stacks of documents and old blueprints from various projects. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and find whoever is available at their desk. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many files, but we know where everything is. Most days are spent on the phone or working on the computer, trying to keep up with the various international tasks. It gets a bit noisy during peak hours because Nehru Apartment is right in the thick of things. We usually take our lunch breaks together, often getting something from the stalls nearby. The stairs are a bit steep, and the elevators are old, but it’s home for us. We aren't focused on looking polished or fancy. We just focus on the engineering and management work that needs to get done. It’s a lot of long hours and detailed work, but that’s just how the industry is. We like the character of this building. It reminds us of where we started and how much history is in these walls.
