About International Committee Of The Red Cross – Transportation & Logistics in New Delhi
Our office is set up in Vaishali, specifically over in Sector 5 at Plot 866. It’s a quiet enough area in Ghaziabad compared to some of the bigger hubs, but we stay busy. We are the local branch here, working under the International Committee Of The Red Cross umbrella. Most days involve a lot of coordinating and making sure our programs are actually reaching people. The S-1 office is where we handle the admin side of things. It’s not a big corporate building, just a functional space where we can get together and plan. We spend a lot of time on local issues and keeping track of what’s happening in the region. The commute around U.P. can be tricky with the roads, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't here to make a big show of things, just to do the work that needs doing. There are files everywhere and usually someone is making tea in the back. It’s a very human place to work. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything like that. Just desks, chairs, and people trying to help out where they can. Dealing with humanitarian stuff is just part of the daily routine for us. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when there’s a new project starting, but mostly it’s about staying steady and keeping the office running so the field work can happen on the ground.
