Meerut is a busy place for anyone in the transport line. Our office is located at 125/27 in Netaji Nagar. It’s a bit of a crowded area, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Indo Arya Central Transport Ltd. has been operating out of this spot, and we spend most of our time dealing with drivers and cargo. It gets pretty loud with all the traffic passing by, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We have a lot of regular work coming through, and the day usually starts early before the sun is even fully up. There is a lot of paperwork to handle when you are moving goods across different states. We sit at our desks, drink far too much coffee, and try to make sure the logbooks are kept straight. Sometimes the trucks get held up at the checkpoints, and we have to spend hours on the phone trying to sort things out. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a steady one. Netaji Nagar is a good spot for us because we are close to the main routes. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations for the office. Most of the furniture is old, and there are stacks of files everywhere. We just focus on the task at hand. If a shipment is late, we find out why and let people know. That’s just the daily routine here in Meerut.
