This office is tucked away on the second floor over in Rohini Sector-7, Delhi. If you know the E-1/47 building, that is where we are. It gets really hot in this part of Delhi during the summer months, so the AC is always running. India Yamaha Motors Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this spot for a bit. It’s not a huge showroom or anything, just our workspace where we handle the administrative side of things. There are usually a few bikes parked downstairs. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We have a small group of people here. Most of us live nearby or take the metro. We deal with a lot of files and phone calls all day. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have fancy paintings on the walls or anything like that. It’s just desks and computers. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic from the main road, but we are used to it by now. We focus on the work that needs doing for the day. It’s a straightforward setup. No one wears suits unless there is a big meeting. Usually, it’s just casual clothes and getting through the pile of work on the desk. We’ve been in Rohini long enough to know the best lunch spots around the block. There is a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk when the weather isn't too bad. We just keep things moving and stay busy with the files and the phone calls.
