Mercy Textiles

Our place, Mercy Textiles, is B-14 in Inder Puri, right near the Mother Dairy. Most people use the dairy as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time. We are in a residential-looking area that has a lot of small businesses tucked away. Working with textiles means the main room is filled with giant rolls of cloth in every color you can think of. It can be a bit overwhelming when you first walk in. In the center of the space sits a large table where we unroll the fabric to check for flaws. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and scrap pieces of cloth that the broom missed. Without a fancy cooling system, we just rely on the windows and a couple of old fans that rattle. It is a family-run feel here. Knowing the names of the people who deliver our supplies is just how we do things. When the weather is nice, we leave the door open, but we have to watch out for the neighborhood cats trying to nap on the soft wool rolls. Expensive ads aren't something we spend money on. Most of our work comes from people who know we have been here at B-14 for years. Our focus stays on getting the fabric sorted and making sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up. This is just an honest way for us to make a living every day.
