Ikus Interior Studio

You can find us up on the 4th floor of the Statesman House Building right on Barakhamba Road. It’s a pretty central spot, which makes it easy for folks to get to us, even if the elevators are a bit slow sometimes. The studio is usually full of fabric swatches and tile samples scattered all over the tables. We try to keep it tidy, but when we’re in the middle of a project, things get messy fast. We spend our days looking at floor plans and trying to figure out where things should go. It’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and making sure things show up on time. The view from the window is okay, but we’re mostly looking at our screens or catalogues. It’s not a very quiet office since there’s always someone talking about colors or measuring something. We don’t really have a big corporate setup, just a group of us working through whatever projects are on the desk. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating snacks and trying to finish a layout. People drop in to discuss their homes or offices, and we just sit down and talk it through. It’s practical work. We don’t go for anything too over the top, just focusing on making spaces work properly for the people using them. We have been in this building for a while and the routine suits us just fine.
