I G E S I Hospital

I G E S I Hospital is a big place, but we are specifically located in the Jhil Mil Pathology Deptt. This part of the hospital is where all the testing happens. It’s always a bit hectic here with samples coming in and reports going out. Jhil Mil is a busy area and the hospital reflects that. We spend most of our time in the lab area, dealing with tubes and slides. It’s not the most glamorous part of the hospital, but it’s where we work every day. The pathology department is tucked away, and you have to follow the signs to find us. There are always people waiting for their blood work or picking up their results. We don't really have a fancy office; it’s mostly just lab benches and equipment. The staff here is used to the fast pace of a public hospital environment. We don't do much in terms of decoration; the walls are just plain and the lighting is bright for the work we do. It’s a practical space for a practical job. We just make sure the tests are done and the records are kept straight. Working in the Jhil Mil section means we see a lot of different people from the neighborhood. It’s just a regular part of the ESI system, doing what needs to be done for the patients who come through our doors every single day. We keep things moving.
