We are tucked into the Mixed Housing Scheme over in Pocket II of Mayur Vihar Phase III. This is the local spot for Honeywell International India - Adi. It is a residential-feeling area, so it does not feel like a big scary corporate office. We are at L-16, and it is a pretty quiet corner compared to the rest of New Delhi. We deal with various technical bits and pieces here. The office is functional. We have our desks, our equipment, and usually a stack of manuals somewhere. It is not the kind of place where people wear suits every day. We just wear what is comfortable and get to work. Most of the people working here live nearby, so there is a real local feel to the place. We talk about the local cricket scores or the price of groceries during our breaks. The work itself requires a lot of attention to detail, so we try to keep the distractions down. We do not have a big marketing team writing our stuff. We just know what we need to do and we do it. Sometimes the power goes out and we all just sit around and chat until it comes back on. It is a very human way to work. We have been part of this Mayur Vihar community for a bit, and we like the pace here. It is steady and we know what is expected of us every day. We just keep our heads down.
