Up on the 7th floor of the Ansal Majestic Tower in Vikaspuri, things stay pretty busy. You have to wait a bit for the elevator sometimes, but once you’re in 406, it’s all go. We deal with hospital beds and medical equipment that doctors need. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, making sure the right gear gets to the right hospital at the right time. The office has a view of the G Block area, though we don’t spend much time looking out the window. There are crates and boxes often sitting near the entrance because things are always coming and going. It’s a bit of a maze with all the desks and the spare parts lying around. Most of the guys here are local, so we talk about the traffic on the way in or where to get the best lunch nearby. We aren’t a huge corporate setup with fancy slogans; we just handle the equipment that people rely on when they are sick. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and it feels a bit chaotic, but we manage to get through the list by the end of the day. The carpet is a bit worn in the high-traffic spots, and the coffee machine is always running. It’s a practical workspace for people who just want to get the shipping manifests done and the equipment delivered. We’ve had the same water cooler for five years and it still makes a weird noise.
