We’re over at Wz-21 E in Santgarh, Tilak Nagar, running Guru Ji Wheels. Mostly, we deal with tires and wheels all day long. It’s a physical job, moving heavy rubber around and using the machines to balance everything out. The shop is right on the street, so we get a lot of dust and noise from the passing cars. We have a small crew here, and we’ve all been doing this for a while. It’s not a polished showroom like you see in the fancy parts of town. We have stacks of tires everywhere and the floor is usually a bit dirty from the road. People stop by when they have a flat or when their treads are getting thin. We talk to them about what they need and then get to work. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't have any big missions or slogans. We just open up in the morning, check the air compressor, and wait for the first customer. Sometimes we have a cup of tea while we wait for a delivery truck to arrive. Tilak Nagar is a busy place, so there’s always something happening outside. We’ve gotten used to the pace of things here. If you need your wheels looked at, we’re usually around until late evening. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out.
