Gupta Auto Service

We’ve been running this shop in Mahipalpur Extension for a long time. It’s located at A-263, specifically in Gali No-11 near the IPH. Most days we are out on Road-4 dealing with whatever cars or bikes people bring in. It is a busy spot and the traffic nearby is almost always loud. We open early in the morning because that is when the first customers arrive. My hands are usually covered in black oil and grease by the time ten o’clock rolls around. The lane is quite narrow, so sometimes parking a vehicle is a bit of a nightmare for us. We don't have any fancy office or a nice waiting area for people to sit. There are just a few old stools near the wall. We focus on the work itself and getting people back on the road. The shop is a bit dusty, but that’s just part of being an auto service. Sometimes the parts we need take a while to arrive, which is annoying for everyone. We know many of the locals who live around the IPH. They stop by for a quick check or just to say hello. It is a simple life here. We work until it gets dark and then we lock up the tools. Things get messy when we have too many jobs at once, but we manage. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we are still here in the same old gali.
