Sunanda Khemani

Operating out of S- 529 in Greater Kailash Part- 2 is quite different from being in a big commercial mall. Sunanda Khemani is based here, and it feels more like a personal workspace than a standard retail business. Being in GK2 means it’s a bit quieter than the main markets, which is nice for focusing on what we do. We spend a lot of time working with different patterns and fabrics right here on the tables. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise or cause a disturbance. It’s a residential area, so finding parking can be a bit of a challenge if you visit during the middle of the day. We don't have a big neon sign out front. It's more of a place where people come by appointment or because they’ve known us for years. The light in this part of the building is good in the mornings for seeing the colors correctly. We have our work tables set up and piles of cloth everywhere. It’s not always perfectly neat, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes people stop by just to chat about a design they have in mind for an event. We’ve been at this address for a good while now and have seen the neighborhood grow and change. It’s a comfortable place to work. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule, we just get the work done as it comes in naturally.
