Gera Thermometer Industries

We are tucked away at 3B-39 in Vishnu Garden. Gera Thermometer Industries has been operating from this location for quite a few years. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the busier parts of the city, which we actually like. Our workspace is pretty simple, consisting of a few rooms where we handle all the thermometer work. We have rows of glass tubes and temperature scales waiting to be put together. It requires a lot of steady hands and patience to get everything lined up correctly. The lighting isn't the best, so we use some extra lamps on the benches to see what we are doing. It’s just a small group of us working here. In the winter it’s quite nice, but during the summer months, it gets very stuffy inside. We usually take our lunch together and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. We don't have any big corporate signs out front, just the number on the gate. It’s a very hands-on kind of job, and we spend most of the day focused on the tiny details of the glass and the markings. We keep our records in big thick books because we’ve always done it that way. It’s not a fast-paced environment, but we stay steady and make sure every box is packed with enough padding so nothing breaks. It’s just our daily routine in Vishnu Garden.
