Our place is at B-2/11 in the MCIE area of Badarpur. It’s an industrial spot, so there are always trucks moving around outside. We handle batteries, which means the floors are concrete and we have to be careful where we step. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear your best clothes. We’ve been in Badarpur for quite a long time now. The workspace is large enough for what we do, but it’s always full of crates and heavy battery units. It gets loud when the deliveries come in. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a small desk near the front where we handle the paperwork. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know how things work. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, which is ironic considering what we sell. We just find a way to keep going. The air smells a bit like lead and plastic, but you get used to it after a day or two. It’s hard work, moving these things around, but it’s what we know. We don't spend much on decorating the place because we’re mostly in the back working anyway. It’s just a straightforward battery business. We stay busy and that’s about all there is to it. The coffee machine in the breakroom is usually broken, so we just walk down the street for a drink. That’s just how things are around here at the moment.
