Gaba Auto Sales is tucked away in Shop No. T-2421 in Gurunanak Market, which most people know as the heart of Naiwala in Karol Bagh. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people are shouting at any given time. We are right opposite Gail No-12, and it’s a bit of a squeeze getting through the crowd sometimes. Our shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a lot of shelves stacked high with boxes and metal bits. We spend most of our time answering the phone or shouting over the noise of the bikes outside. It’s a hectic way to spend a day, but Karol Bagh has always been like this. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything. Most customers just stand around while we dig through the stacks to find what they need. Sometimes we get the order wrong and have to start over, but that’s just part of the job. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we have a rhythm, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. It's a practical business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We’re just here from morning until the market closes, trying to keep track of everything in this little corner of Naiwala. It's crowded, noisy, and busy, but that's how we like it.
