Our office is located in Lalita Park, over in the Laxmi Nagar area of Delhi. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how crowded and busy the streets can get. Amrendra Kumar runs things here at 4/156. The building is right in the middle of everything. We deal with a lot of medical paperwork and supplies throughout the day. The phone rings a lot, and there is usually someone coming in to drop off a delivery or ask a question about a shipment. It can get pretty cramped inside because we have boxes stacked up in the corners and files piled on the desks. We have a small tea stall just down the road, and someone is usually sent out a couple of times a day to bring back cups for everyone. The noise from the traffic outside never really stops, so we just talk a bit louder to be heard. It is a very practical space, focused on getting the work done. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. Most of us have been working in this area for years, so we know all the neighbors and the delivery guys by name. It’s the kind of place where things move fast and you have to keep track of a hundred small details at once. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come.
