Elbee Express

Our spot is over in Dwarka, at House Number 318 in the DDA Staff Quarters. Being in Sector-23, Part-I means we are surrounded by a lot of other families and workers living their lives. It’s not your usual commercial office building, which gives the place a bit of a different feel. We use a couple of the rooms to manage the express deliveries. There are always clipboards hanging near the door and a few jackets tossed over chairs. The morning starts early here because the vans need to get out before the Dwarka traffic gets too backed up. We spend a lot of time looking at clocks and checking watches. The quarters are decent, though we sometimes have to move things around to make more space for incoming files. It’s a very local vibe; we know the security guards at the gate and the people who run the small shops nearby. Sometimes we get packages that are quite heavy, and we have to help each other carry them up the stairs. It is just honest work. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with magazines. People just knock on the door, we take their details, and we get the parcels moving. It’s been our routine for years, and we’ve gotten pretty comfortable in this corner of New Delhi.
