Eicher Motor Ltd. (Bhargav Motor)

Our address is K-68A, Street No-1 in Rijak Ram Colony, which is part of Mahipalpur. We operate out of Rajendra Prasad's place, c/o B. C. Tiwari. It’s a bit of a maze to get here if you don’t know the colony. Eicher Motor Ltd. (Bhargav Motor) is what we do. We have some space for parts and a small area where we handle the paperwork. Mahipalpur is always busy because it’s so close to the airport. You can hear the planes taking off all the time. The office has a heavy metal door and a few old chairs for visitors. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking about trucks and engines. Mr. Tiwari is often around helping out. The street outside is narrow, so big vehicles have to be careful coming in. We keep a ledger for everything because it’s easier than relying only on the computer. The lighting is a bit dim in the back where the stock is kept. We have a cooler for the water because it gets really dusty and dry in this part of Delhi. It’s a practical workplace. No one wears suits here. We just wear what’s comfortable and get our hands dirty when we have to. It’s been our base for quite a while now. We just focus on the motors and the customers who come through. It's a solid place to work day in and day out without any of that corporate stuff.
