EFY Group/EFY Magazine

Okhla Industrial Area Phase 1 is a place that never really sleeps. It’s all trucks and workers and the smell of grease and dust. We are located at D 87/1. EFY Group/EFY Magazine has been part of this landscape for a long time. Our building is a bit gray, like most things in Okhla, but it’s ours. Inside, there are boxes of magazines stacked in corners and the sound of keyboards clicking away. It’s not the kind of office where you’ll find bean bags or a gaming room. It’s more about metal desks and older chairs that have been around since the start. The stairs at D 87/1 are a bit steep, so we get our exercise just going up and down. We have a lot of history in these walls. You can almost feel it in the old filing cabinets. Lunchtime usually involves someone going out to the local dhaba or sharing tiffins in the small break area. We don’t have a lot of rules about how things look, as long as the work is done. It gets pretty loud outside with the Phase 1 traffic, but we’ve learned to tune it out over the years. EFY is just a bunch of people who enjoy what they do, working in a gritty part of Delhi. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real. We stay busy and we stay here. That is how we operate.
