Our company is based at A-68 in the DDA Sheds within Okhla Industrial Area, Phase II. These sheds have been around for a long time, and they have a specific look to them. It’s a no-nonsense environment. We deal with lighting and electronics, so the inside of our unit is a mix of workbenches, testing equipment, and shelves full of parts. We don't have a fancy facade or a big lobby with a fountain. It’s a place where you’ll find people in work clothes with tools in their hands. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor has seen better days, but that’s because we actually use the space for manufacturing and assembly. We aren't looking to win any design awards for our office. The air usually smells a bit like solder and metal. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to be doing. There isn't much hierarchy here; we all just pitch in to get the shipments out. Being in Okhla means we’re surrounded by other people doing the same thing. We hear the sounds of welding and trucks all day, and it just becomes background noise after a while. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just build the equipment, test it to make sure it works, and send it out to whoever ordered it. It’s a simple process.
