Hanuman Flowers Decorators

Hanuman Flowers Decorators is based at H. No. 173 Bhagwati Garden Extension Dwarka Morh. Our day usually starts way before the sun comes up because we have to get the fresh flowers from the wholesale market. The house is often full of marigolds and roses piled up on the floor. It smells nice for the first hour but then the scent gets really strong and heavy. We spend a lot of time sitting on the floor weaving garlands or fixing flowers onto wooden frames. Water is always dripping everywhere because we have to keep the petals wet so they don't wilt in the heat. Bhagwati Garden is a quiet enough place but we are always moving back and forth to Dwarka Morh. When there is a big festival, we don't sleep much at all. We just keep drinking coffee and working through the night. Our hands are usually stained from the flower sap and the dye they use sometimes. We use an old van to transport the decorations to the venues and it rattles quite a bit on the bumpy roads. My younger brother helps with the heavy lifting and setting up the stages. We don't do any fancy marketing, we just hope people like what we did at the last party and call us again. It’s a messy business but we are used to it by now.
