Down in Mori Gate, Delhi, things are always moving fast. Drs Auto Industries is located at 3474, Flat No-1, on the first floor along Nicholson Road. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded and lively Mori Gate can be. It’s the heart of the auto parts trade. Our office is up one flight of stairs. It’s a busy little spot packed with ledgers and samples. Nicholson Road is always full of rickshaws and people carrying boxes. We’ve been part of this for a while. The space is small, but we make it work. It’s mostly about managing orders and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout a bit on the phone. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or sleek furniture. Wooden desks and fans are all we need. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos outside, which is quite something. Everyone here knows the auto business inside out. We don't need a lot of formal meetings to know what to do. Picking up the orders and getting them moving is the main task. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. Delhi summers are tough here, but we just keep the fans going and get the work done. It’s our corner of the city. Most of us eat together in the afternoons when things quiet down a bit. We get our tea from the shop downstairs. The building is old but it stays busy.
