This part of the hospital is where the Emergency OT is. It’s inside the Dr. Ram Manhor Lohia Hospital complex. If you’ve ever been here, you know it’s a huge place and can be quite confusing. The Emergency OT is a busy area where things move fast. We see all kinds of stuff coming through the doors at all hours. It doesn't really matter if it's day or night, the lights are always on and people are working. It’s loud, there are always carts moving and staff talking. We don't have much time for sitting around. The hospital itself is a major landmark, so finding it isn't the hard part, it's finding the specific room inside. We handle a lot of urgent cases here. It’s not a place for a quiet chat. Everything is focused on getting things done quickly. The hallways are often full of people waiting for news. It’s a bit old and looks like a government building because it is one. There’s a lot of equipment around and the floors are always being cleaned because of the foot traffic. We’ve got a big team of doctors and nurses coming in and out in shifts. It can be stressful, but everyone just does their job. It’s a vital part of the city’s health system. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can every single day. It’s just what happens here.
