We are out in Phase 2 of the Okhla Industrial Area, specifically at B 23 / 1. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s not the most beautiful place to look at, but it’s where all the work happens. Dpi Fashion Pvt. Ltd. is basically a big floor filled with sewing machines and cutting tables. The noise is constant—the hum of the motors and the sound of scissors. It’s a fast-paced environment. We have a lot of workers coming in from the nearby areas every morning. The canteen downstairs is where everyone gathers for lunch. Our office is just a small partitioned corner where we keep the records and talk to the fabric suppliers. It’s often a bit messy with thread scraps and fabric swatches everywhere. We don't really have walk-in customers because we’re more of a production unit. Most of our day is spent making sure the production lines are moving and that the finished garments are packed correctly for shipping. The traffic in Okhla is always a challenge, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. But we’ve been here for a long time now and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial life. It’s about getting the job done right and making sure the trucks are loaded before the day ends. We aren't trying to be fancy, just keeping the machines running and the orders flowing. It’s just how we earn our living here in Phase 2.
