Over in Bijwasan, near Seema Hospital, you can find us at Khasra No.51 on Palam Vihar Road. The name on the gate says Diyas Mantra Lighting Pvt. Ltd. We deal with all sorts of lights, from the small ones you use at home to bigger setups. Our building is a bit older, and the road outside can get quite dusty, but it works for what we need. Inside, the place is usually glowing because we have so many samples turned on at once. It’s a bit of a maze with all the boxes stacked up. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. We are just a bunch of folks who like lighting. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need many rules to get things done. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves. We spend a lot of time testing bulbs and looking at new designs that come in from the suppliers. It’s not a quiet job, there’s always someone hammering something or the sound of tape dispensers. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to provide decent lighting to people who need it. Being near the hospital makes it easy for people to find us. We’re usually here from early morning until the sun goes down, just keeping the lights on, literally. It is a good living and we enjoy the people we meet along the way.
