Starting early at C-21 in Vivek Vihar usually involves a bit of cleaning. We’re right near Ram Mandir, so you can often hear things happening there during the day. The shelves here are full of little glass bottles and everything is kept in its place. People from around Delhi come in mostly because they’re tired of other stuff and want to try something different. It’s a quiet place for the most part. We spend a lot of time just talking to people about what’s bothering them. The lighting in the waiting area isn't the brightest, but it’s comfortable enough for a short stay. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise when they’ve been running all day. We’ve been here in Phase 1 for a while now. Most days are just about managing the files and making sure the jars are refilled. It’s not a huge fancy place with marble floors. It’s just a clinic where we work. My desk is usually covered in some papers and a cup of tea that’s gone cold. Neighbors pop their heads in just to say hello sometimes. We don’t have a big sign outside, just enough so you can find us. It gets quite busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work. We just try to keep things moving along and make sure everyone gets their turn without waiting too long in the heat.
