Our office is right in the middle of everything on Barakhamba Road. We are on the 6th floor of the Kanchenjunga Building. It’s one of those classic buildings in New Delhi that everyone recognizes. Being at 18 Barakhamba Road means we are right in the thick of the city’s noise and energy. Dcm Shriram Industries Ltd. has been operating from this location for quite some time. The view from the 6th floor is alright, mostly just looking out at other office buildings and the constant stream of cars below. The elevators in Kanchenjunga can be a bit slow during the lunch rush, so we usually try to time our breaks around that. The office itself is functional. We have rows of desks and filing cabinets that have been here as long as I can remember. We do a lot of administrative work here, managing the bigger parts of the business that happen elsewhere. It’s a professional environment, but we aren't stuffy about it. Most of us have worked together for years, so there’s a lot of joking around in the breakroom between tasks. We deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. It’s just the usual office life in the Connaught Place area. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just calendars and a few photos of our families. We just work until the day is done.
