You can find us at Shop No. 11 on Hanuman Road. We are really close to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, just tucked behind the YMCA. It’s a very spiritual and busy part of the city. We deal with turbans, or pagrian, as we call them. It’s a tradition we’ve been part of for a long time. The shop isn’t huge, but we pack a lot of fabric in there. We spend our days matching colors and helping people find the right cloth. Being so close to the Gurudwara means we see a lot of people coming and going for prayers. It’s a nice atmosphere to work in. We aren't trying to be some big retail chain. We’re just a local shop that knows its craft. Sometimes the street gets very crowded, especially on holidays. We usually have rolls of fabric stacked up high. We’ve got a couple of chairs for people to sit while they choose. Our family has been doing this for years, and we just keep the tradition going. We don’t have a website or anything like that; people just know where we are. It’s a simple business. We focus on the quality of the cloth and making sure the colors are right. It’s what we do every single day, from morning until we close up late. The smell of incense from the nearby stalls often drifts in. We take pride in the fold of a good turban. It's more than just a job for us.
