About Prince Electric Works – Medical & Healthcare in New Delhi
Down in Darya Ganj, it’s always crowded and noisy, but that’s just the way life is around here. Our shop is tucked into Gali Garhiya, over in Kucha Chellan. It’s a tight little spot, No. 2796, and if you aren't looking closely, you might easily miss it among all the other small businesses packed into the alleyway. We have been doing this electrical work for a long time now. The shelves are filled with all sorts of motor parts, old switches, and tools that have definitely seen better days. There is always the smell of grease and burnt wire in the air, which I guess we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a front desk with a receptionist. Most of the time, we’re just bent over a workbench with a screwdriver or a soldering iron in hand, trying to get a motor to spin again. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where every single part is kept. People come in from the neighborhood when their ceiling fans stop working or they need a transformer rewired. It gets really hot in the summer, especially with the machines running, but we keep the small table fans going and just get on with it. It’s a simple operation. We open up early, drink some hot chai, and start on the pile of repairs that came in. It’s honest work, and we like being part of the daily bustle in this old part of the city.
