D S Thukral & Associates

Our office is on the second floor of V 40 in Rajouri Garden. You have to walk up the stairs, which can be a bit of a workout if you’re doing it five times a day. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building has a lot of character, though the hallway light flickers sometimes and the paint is peeling. D S Thukral & Associates is basically just a few of us surrounded by tall stacks of folders and old law books or tax codes. It depends on the day what’s piling up highest on the desks. Rajouri Garden is always humming outside the window, so we hear the honking and the shoppers all day long. We don’t have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle and some instant packets in the corner next to the printer. The desks are heavy wood and have been here since we first opened the doors. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away on keyboards that have seen a lot of use. It gets a bit cramped when we have a few people over for a meeting, but we make it work somehow. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it’s dark outside and the market downstairs is closing up for the night. We don’t do big presentations. We just sit down, look at the papers, and figure things out. It’s a quiet place for some pretty serious work.
