Down on Street No 8 in Bihari Colony, you’ll find our office. The address is 4/2364 on the Main Road in Shahdara. Being in Delhi, it’s always loud outside with the traffic and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the shipping tasks. We have been here for a bit now. It’s a straightforward setup. We handle the shipping line details and make sure the paperwork for the containers is all in order. There’s usually a pile of folders on every desk. We aren't trying to be some high-end corporate firm. This is just a local spot where we deal with the realities of transport and logistics every day. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs squeak a bit, but they work. We drink a lot of chai to keep going through the afternoon slump. Most of the guys here have lived in Delhi their whole lives, so we know how to navigate the chaos of the city roads. Shipping is mostly about waiting and then rushing when things finally arrive. We spend our hours checking lists and talking to the port people. It is steady work. We don't use big words or have long meetings. We just get the details right so the cargo moves. That is basically our day-to-day life here in Shahdara. We just stay busy with the paperwork and keep things moving.
