Country Inns & Suites By Carlson

We have been over here in Ashok Vihar for a while now. Most people know the spot because it's right near L.B. College, so you see a lot of students walking by every morning when we're opening up. The traffic in Phase III can get pretty bad during the rush hours, but that is just how Delhi is. We spend a lot of our time just keeping things running at Country Inns & Suites. It is a lot of work to make sure the rooms are tidy and the staff is ready for whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it gets really hot outside in June, so we have to stay on top of that. We aren't a big corporate office where everything is perfect, just people working. My desk is usually covered in papers and tea cups. We see a mix of travelers, some stay for a night, others for longer. The building itself is at A-20, and we try to keep the lobby looking decent even when it's busy. It gets noisy with the cars honking outside, but once you come inside, it settles down a bit. We don't do much fancy advertising, we just focus on the guests. Most of us have lived in this part of Delhi for years, so we know the shortcuts and where to get good food. It is just a regular day-to-day job for us here.
