CORBEL DESIGN STUDIO

We are up on the first floor at 416/2, right above the Imagination Art Gallery. If you are driving down the road in Ghitorni, just look for Metro Pillar Number 127 and we are right there. The studio is a bit of a mix of things. We have drawing boards, some old computer monitors, and a lot of paper scraps lying around. Being above an art gallery is nice, though we are usually too busy with our own designs to go downstairs much. The metro trains rumble past every few minutes, which you get used to after a week or so. It’s a workspace for people who actually like to build and draw things. We have some samples of materials leaned up against the walls and some half-finished sketches pinned to the boards. The lighting is okay during the day because of the big windows, but we have some lamps for when we stay late. It’s not a polished studio you see in magazines; it’s a place where we actually do the work. The area is full of furniture shops and other designers, so there is a lot of creative energy around, even if the dust from the road gets in sometimes. We just keep the coffee pot going and try to finish our projects on time.
